Dr. Francis Opoku Agyapong serves as Project Coordinator for the PEDVAC-iNTS Clinical Trial at the KNUST-IVI Collaborative Centre, where he is responsible for the overall coordination and smooth execution of study activities. In this role, he oversees the preparation of documentation for ethics and regulatory approvals, ensures timely recruitment of project staff, and manages investigational product (IP) processes-including preparation, vaccination oversight, accountability, receipt, storage, return shipment, and supply requests—while monitoring storage conditions and maintaining precise temperature logs.
Dr. Agyapong supervises and supports field teams during data collection, ensuring adherence to study protocols, efficient workflows, and high-quality data. He provides coaching and constructive feedback to enhance team performance, monitors progress towards project objectives, and ensures compliance with regulatory and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
As the on-site lead during vaccination phases, he coordinates all related activities, addresses protocol deviations, oversees adverse event (AE) assessments, and ensures accurate recording of medication histories. He also plays a key role in administrative support, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication between field teams, investigators, and partners.
