Finance Department

The Finance Department serves as the central pillar for the Centre’s fiscal stewardship, ensuring that all resources entrusted to us are managed with precision, transparency, and in strict adherence to both national regulations and international financial standards. Under the leadership of Mr. Francis Dorman, a distinguished Chartered Accountant with extensive expertise in administering complex, donor-funded research portfolios, the department delivers strategic financial oversight that underpins the Centre’s mission.

Its core functions include strategic budget formulation, grant and donor compliance, detailed financial reporting, and coordination of both internal and external audits. The department collaborates closely with research teams, project managers, and international stakeholders to ensure resources are optimally allocated, expenditures are rigorously monitored, and reporting meets the stringent requirements of funding partners.

With proven competence in managing large-scale, multi-site, and multi-partner initiatives supported by leading global funding agencies, the Finance Department goes beyond routine accounting. It facilitates sound financial planning, sustains collaborative research efforts, and reinforces the Centre’s capacity to deliver impactful public health research and capacity-building programmes on a global scale.
