The Pharmacy Department is the backbone of all investigational drug operations in our clinical trials. Under the leadership of Prof. Kwame Ohene Buabeng, Study Pharmacist and Head of Pharmacy, the department ensures that every step in the drug management process is executed with precision, safety, and regulatory excellence.

From receipt and secure storage to preparation, dispensing, and accountability, our pharmacy team maintains meticulous standards that align with international Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and all applicable regulatory frameworks. Every product is handled with a commitment to participant safety, protocol integrity, and trial credibility.

The department also serves as a hub of pharmaceutical innovation and academic expertise. With Prof. Buabeng’s extensive research background in Clinical Pharmacology, the team applies cutting-edge knowledge to optimise the handling of investigational drugs, ensuring that therapies are delivered in the most effective form possible for study participants.
