Quality Control (QC) Department

The Quality Control (QC) team under the leadership of Prof. Yaw Adu Sarkodie and Dr. Samuel Nkansah Darko’s ultimate goal is to ensure the credibility of clinical trial results and to protect patient safety by maintaining high-quality standards throughout the trial life-cycle. This team supports regulatory submissions and works towards approvals for investigational products.

The QC team plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and compliance of data and processes in a clinical trial. Its main responsibility is to verify that all trial-related activities are conducted according to the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, the team is central in keeping the standards expected in the conduct of clinical trials through training of study staff when updates and amendments are made to the study protocol and SOPs. The group further conduct regular reviews of study documentation and data collection tools and is key in the drafting and implementation of corrective and preventive actions when required.
