Mr. Francis Dorman serves as the Finance Manager, heading the Finance Department and overseeing the financial operations of the Centre. In this role, he is responsible for strategic budget planning and management, financial reporting, grant and donor compliance, and audit coordination. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of the Centre’s activities, maintaining transparent processes that meet both local and international accountability standards.
With extensive experience in donor-funded research administration, Mr. Dorman manages the finances of most of the centre’s large-scale projects, many of which are supported by major global funding bodies. His expertise ensures that resources are effectively allocated, expenditures are closely monitored, and reporting meets the requirements of partners and sponsors.
A Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Finance, Mr. Dorman combines technical proficiency with a deep understanding of the complexities of multi-site, multi-partner research initiatives. He works closely with project teams, researchers, and collaborators to provide financial guidance and operational support, contributing to the successful delivery of high-impact health research and capacity-building programmes.
